METAL SUSPENSIONS
Specifically designed for EXAPAN panelling, the metal suspension pieces can be used for lowering ceilings by minimum 15 cm. Suspension pieces facilitate installation of insulation. These are essential when recessing spotlights in panelling. A 15 cm air gap is required between the panelling and the base to allow sufficient air circulation and space for transformers. (15 cm corresponds to the size of the air gap specified by numerous manufacturers for safe spotlight installation)
These metal suspension pieces are also suitable for use in association with threaded rods, meaning that the ceiling can be lowered by over 15cm (threaded rods with 6 mm diameter)

If using 10 mm thick panelling, we recommend installing a suspension piece every 1.20 m (making 3 pieces per m²).
With 8 mm thick panelling, we recommend drawing attachment points closer together every 1m (making 4 pieces per m²).
If installing insulation, we recommend drawing suspension pieces closer together.
E.g.: if installing 10 Kg /m² installation on 10 mm thick panelling, bring the distance between attachment points to 0.66m.
CAUTION: If installing insulation on a suspended ceiling with recessed spotlights, an insulation-free area of minimum 30 cm must be left around each spotlight.
