We therefore recommend that you contact your insurance company if you want to protect yourself from any unpleasant surprises in the event of theft or damage.

What is addiction?

In fact, a garden shed can be considered an outbuilding of your home.

An outbuilding is an external structure located within a certain radius of the main dwelling. If the garden shed is located at a certain distance from the house, without being integrated into it, it will be considered an outbuilding. However, each insurer will have its own criteria, so it is important to check.

Insurance is therefore not mandatory, but it provides coverage in the event of theft or damage.

Steps to follow

Each insurer has its own services and criteria regarding shelter insurance. It is best to inform your insurer when installing a shelter, who will advise you on the best course of action.  

The insurer will be able to offer you various solutions based on the available policies.

To install a garden shed correctly and ensure that it is perfectly level for the stability of the entire structure, it is essential to have a perfectly flat and stable ground surface. Under no circumstances should the shed be installed directly on soil or grass.

Recommended type of support depending on the surface area of the shelter:

• Shelters up to 4.9 m²: they can be assembled and fixed on gravel slabs or concrete corner blocks.
• Shelters larger than 4.9 m²: we strongly recommend laying a concrete slab (foundation) on which the shelter should be installed and secured.
  

Characteristics of concrete slabs:

• Recommended thickness: minimum 10 cm
• Slab overhang: 3 to 5 cm all around the shelter
  

Regardless of the size of the shelter, we recommend reinforcing its attachment to the ground using the Grosfillex anchoring kit to ensure optimal stability, especially in windy conditions.

Before assembly

Before starting, it is best to make a complete inventory using the parts list in the assembly instructions.

• Take out all the pieces and lay them flat.
• Count the coins.
• Check the different parts to make sure they are in good condition.

Do not attempt to assemble the shelter if any parts are missing or damaged.

Don't panic, assembly is easy! For greater convenience, we recommend having two people on hand to help with handling and fitting the panels that make up the entire structure.

To obtain a gutter kit for your PVC garden shed Grosfillex, you have two options:

1. You can purchase a gutter kit available exclusively from some of our retailers (see examplehere).
2. You can order a Grosfillex fixing kit (or screw-in accessory) from our after-sales service and assemble your own installation by purchasing the gutter components from a DIY store.

Our Grosfillex mounting kit (Reference PBYN5136-SAV) is available for purchase through our customer service department at a price of €29 including tax, excluding shipping costs.

This product consists of 6 PVC profiles measuring 56 cm that can be cut to size.

Your shelter is packaged on a pallet with all of its components. Each component of the shelter is packaged in an individual cardboard box or plastic film, with a maximum weight of 25 kilograms.

The different components of your package:

• The doors,
• The posts,
• The roof,
• Metal parts,
• The walls,
• And the front walls as well as all the fasteners.

Steps to take before assembling your shelter:

Upon receipt of your pallet, carefully check the number of packages delivered in the presence of the delivery person so that you can make a claim in case of any missing items.
Don't forget to make a complete inventory using the parts list in the assembly instructions as soon as you unpack the package and contact us using this form.

You should also avoid assembling the shelter if any parts are missing or damaged.

Yes. Grosfillex PVC garden sheds are designed for year-round outdoor use and to withstand normal winter weather conditions, including sub-zero temperatures.

The materials used retain their mechanical properties in cold weather. When used normally as a garden shed, they provide effective protection for the equipment and materials stored inside.

In accordance with quality and safety requirements, our shelters have been subjected to resistance tests under harsh climatic conditions. For example, a shelter blade successfully withstood an impact test (falling weight of over 200 g) carried out at -10°C without breaking, demonstrating the robustness of the PVC used.

With regard to snow, shelters are designed to withstand snow loads corresponding to normal weather conditions. However, in accordance with usage and safety recommendations, it is essential to:

• 
  Install the shelter on a suitable base (concrete slab or foundation recommended depending on the surface).
  
• 
  securely anchor the shelter to the ground using a suitable anchoring system,
  
• 
  Regularly remove snow that has accumulated on the roof in the event of heavy or prolonged snowfall to avoid overloading.
  

Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in damage to the product and may render the user liable. For optimal use, it is advisable to refer to the assembly and installation instructions provided with the shelter.

Reasons for condensation

Condensation is caused by temperature differences between the outside climate and the inside of the garden shed, and is a consequence of the excellent insulation properties of PVC, which can cause condensation in certain climates.

What should I do to fix this?

• Increase ventilation by adding a ventilation grille to the upper exterior section of the shelter.
• We recommend adding low vents to your garden shed.
• Finally, it is necessary to check that the structure is properly sealed to see if that is the cause of the condensation on the windows.

Installation of an additional ventilation grille in a Grosfillex shelter

Grosfillex shelters come with four ventilation grilles as standard. Adding one or two extra grilles improves air circulation, thereby significantly reducing the amount of moisture that can build up in your garden shed.

Please note that the Grosfillex warranty does not cover damage caused by exceptional weather conditions such as storms, hurricanes, lightning, floods, and hail. Regardless of the damage, whether all or part of the roof is damaged, you should contact your insurance company to claim underyour home insurance policy. 

The steps to follow are as follows:

1. Report the claim to your home insurance company so that an assessor can visit.
2. Provide your insurance company with the original purchase price of the garden shed.
3. Check whether the "new replacement" option is selected in your insurance policy. Please allow five weeks for a new replacement of your garden shed or 12 weeks for replacement parts for your garden shed. For all after-sales service requests, please provide us with the garden shed reference number indicated on your invoice and the references of the damaged parts specified in your assembly instructions. 

Our garden sheds are mainly sold online, and complete product displays are rare.

Our tips for improving the waterproofing of your shelter:

• Check that the blades are properly fitted.
• Check that the concrete slab is the right size.
• Reinforce the seal with silicone sealant.
• Add low vents to your shelter.

The concrete slab must be adapted to the overall exterior surface area according to the model of garden shed you choose.

The concrete slab must be the perfect size for the garden shed: not too small and not too big. If the slab is too big, it can cause waterproofing problems because it will act as insulation to prevent moisture.

To prepare your shelter for moisture, you need to leave a margin of 5 to 10 cm in length and width. This slab must correspond to the external dimensions of your shelter's structure.

If the slab is too large, there may be a risk of fungus and moss growth due to water stagnation. 

Silicone

Silicone will be used to create joints around the outside of the shelter for a smooth and even finish.

We therefore recommend that you use a sealant as described in the assembly instructions.

Grosfillex will only accept returns of complete sets; the entire set must be intact, unused, and in good condition to qualify for a refund.

 How to Clean a garden table

• Soapy water

For ease of use, the best option is still soapy water, used in conjunction with a sponge. Be careful not to use the abrasive side of the sponge, as it may scratch the surface when cleaning a garden table . You can add a little white vinegar to the mixture for even better results.

When drying, we recommend that you do not leave your furniture to dry in the open air, but rather use a terry towel to avoid white marks.

For future products, you must be very careful not to hurt yourself, and test a small amount of the product on the furniture, as it can also damage the table in some cases.

• Household alcohol

Clean with a cloth, then rinse thoroughly.

• Baking soda

Mix white vinegar with baking soda and soapy water.

Clean your table using a mixture of hot water and soda crystals. Be very careful not to damage your furniture with this solution.

• Oven cleaner

Leave the oven cleaner to work for about 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

• Hydrogen peroxide

Our Una and Sapcyaccordion doorsare not compatible with double door installations. However, our Axia model can be installed as a double door.

A smart solution for separating two rooms. A double door can be adjusted in height, and it is recommended to make the cut with a tool such as a hand saw.

The steps for installing a sliding door

2. Cut the top rail
   
   Using a saw, cut the top rail to the desired length based on the measurements taken.
   
3. Assemble the slats
   
   Assemble the slats by sliding them into each other, making sure to correctly integrate the rail on the hinge side.
   
4. Install the top rail
   
   Unclip the two-part rail. Slide the U-shaped part onto the top of the partition to prepare for attachment.
   
5. Attach the clips on the hinge side
   
   Position the clips on the wall stud wall hinge wall and secure them firmly with screws.
   
6. Attach the rails
   
   Screw the receiving rail onto the closing side, then attach the second part of the upper rail that was previously cut to size.
   
7. Install the door
   
   Position the pre-assembled door, then clip it onto the top rail and the hinge-side rail.

   Attach the handle to the door quickly and easily to complete the installation.

First of all, it is important to note that reducing the size of a folding door isONLYpossiblefortheUNAandSPACY versions. 

When installing your accordion door, you will only need to install 3 slats instead of 4 in order to reduce the width of your door from 0.84 to 0.69 m.

Axia and Spacy accordion doors are available in a standard height of 205 cm, which corresponds to the dimensions commonly used in homes.

This height allows installation on most interior openings without major work. However, the doors can be cut to size to fit your opening precisely, in accordance with the instructions in the installation manual.

Before installation, we recommend carefully measuring the opening (from the finished floor to the lintel) and ensuring that the support is perfectly straight and level.

To ensure optimal performance and maximum durability of your accordion door, it is important to follow the installation instructions provided with the Axia and Spacy models.

How wide is a folding door?

Grosfillex folding doors have a maximum standard width of 84 cm, corresponding to the total width of the frame structure, including the tracks.

If the width of your opening is less than 84 cm, the door will simply be folded more like an accordion and therefore slightly less taut, which compensates for the missing centimeters without affecting its operation.

There are several options available to you for installing your PVC floor tiles or wall panels.

wall mounting:

On old tile flooring, you have two options:

1. You can glue your paneling using our GX Power glue or our strong adhesives. To apply the glue, make zigzag lines from top to bottom on yourwall cladding , use a level to position your tile or panel correctly, then press down firmly on the entire surface. The glue does not adhere immediately, so you can make any necessary adjustments.
   
2. For adhesive installation, apply adhesive every 20 cm around the edge of your tile or panel. Then randomly distribute a few adhesives over the entire surface of your substrate. Once you have applied your paneling, press down firmly over the entire surface. Please note that once you have done this, you will not be able to remove it to readjust its position.
   
3. You can also attach your paneling by screwing it into the blade profile designed for this purpose.
   

On plasterboard:

1. You can use the first two types of applications.
2. Staple installation: the profile of our panels or tiles allows them to be stapled directly onto your plasterboard. Simply slot the next panel into place for a perfect connection.

On battens:

1. Installation on battens is carried out when your wall damaged with more than 3 mm of unevenness or when you want to leave a space to allow natural ventilation in case of moisture. Only stapling is recommended in this case.

Ceiling installation:

1. Ceiling installation can be done using metal brackets. These allow space between your ceiling and your paneling. This space allows cables to be discreetly routed for the installation of spotlights.
2. Another solution is also possible, which is to staple or screw directly.
3. Installation on battens by stapling or screwing.

Laying composite tile slabs is very quick and easy.

Simply use GX Extra Power adhesive, which is specifically designed for bonding these wall tiles and does not alter their composition in any way. This odorless adhesive dries very quickly but allows you ample time to adjust the position of your tile to ensure it is level.

Choose the pose that suits you

The advantage of these compact composite tiles is that they can be assembled together even if they are different sizes. Mix 30 x 60 cm tiles with 45 x 90 cm tiles for greater customization. They are a perfect match, and these dimensions have been designed to allow for this combination of sizes.

Vertically or horizontally, anything is possible.

On which surfaces should the tiles be applied?

On old tile or drywall

The surface must be flat (irregularities up to 3 mm), clean, and dry. Most
surfaces are acceptable: wallpaper, tile, painted walls, plastered walls, and wainscoting.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not install near a significant heat source: radiator, fireplace, stove top,
south-facing window, etc.

TIPS
Installing decorative slats and panels vertically will make your room appear taller but also narrower. Installing PVC slats horizontally will make your room appear wider
